The guests from all sectors shared their cases and made in-depth discussions around the theme of "Power of Role Models and Fulfillment of Accountability"
Zhang Yijun, 1st Vice President of China Audio-video and Digital Publishing Association and Chairman of China Game Publishers Association Publications Committee, says in his speech that the social influence of digital cultural industry has been increasing and this industry has become a new frontier of promoting the core socialist values and enriching the people's intellectual and cultural activities. The game industry is a key part of digital cultural industry, and its values and influences have raised widespread concern of the society. The enterprises and products are what let the public know about the game industry, so only the products and corporate behaviors that demonstrate the sense of social responsibility can be trusted by the society.
According to Lv Shaogang, Senior Editor of People's Daily and General Manager of Guangdong Branch of people.cn, people.cn has been paying attention to and documenting the growth of the game industry of China. From 2019 to now, people.cn has held the Game Responsibility Forum for three consecutive years, addresses how the game industry fulfills its social responsibility, publicizes the Corporate Social Responsibility Report, has started the Initiative of Game Age Reminder, imposed strict control over game contents and also contributed more to serving the public benefits. The game industry must adequately play its role in facilitating digital cultural innovation and development, stay on the frontier of social trend and tap into the value of the Chinese culture in the new era; create a benign online environment and improve the game supervision system; fulfill its responsibility in promoting the positive value of games through public welfare endeavors.
At the CGIAC, Sun Jiashan, associate research fellow of Chinese National Academy of Arts, commented on collection of "quality products of digital interactive experience". According to Sun Jiashan, the pandemic has further pushed the historical increase-to-stock transformation of the Chinese game market. So we must strategically and proactively prepare for the systematic restructuring of the whole industry, and make great efforts to develop a functional, differentiated and quality product matrix that caters to the people from different circles, different age groups and different geographic regions. This is the only way for the digital cultural industry represented by the game industry of China to enter the next stage of high-quality development and to better serve the overall health of the digital economy of China.
In his speech themed "Achieve Vision through Accountability and Create Value through Devotion", Mr. Qian Junfa explained to the attendees how Kingnet has made its efforts in corporate social responsibility fulfillment, party building, public welfare actions, support for rural education and materialization of the company's social value, and particularly elaborated on the "Cloud Supported Education Classroom" program in which Kingnet and its subsidiaries Shanghai Kingnet and Zhejiang Shenghe used their advantageous resources and mobilized their employees to volunteer to organize online courses in the form of live streaming for multiple Tibetan primary schools in Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture as an effort to support rural education.
